The Cottage
This traditional fisherman’s cottage has views from every beach side window of the lovely harbour in St Ives. Facing south, its back door opens right onto a private terrace on the beach and is in one of the loveliest and sunniest locations in St Ives.
It is a simple cottage, traditional and charming and little changed over the last 80 years. Please be aware that it has little of the modern facilities that are now mostly the norm in St Ives. This we feel is part of its appeal to many of its visitors, many of whom come back year after year. Please note that the stairs are uneven and very windy with low headroom Built on 3 floors, it has many of its original features still in place with window seats in the sitting room where one can sit and watch the ever-changing harbour view.
The cottage now has allocated parking available within a couple of minutes walk. If this might be of interest please ask. At Porthgwidden reserved parking.

We have recently installed a wood burner in the sitting room. We dont supply firewood and ask that you bring your own or you can purchase wood packs from Norway Stores and Colensos both in St Ives. Norway Stores being the little local shop very close by.
The cottage is very old and very quirky with two spiral staircases, uneven flooring and low headroom areas. Please call or e mail if you want to discuss any of the above or find out more information.
This is without doubt the best cottage we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a few.) The views are superb, the weather was good, food excellent, The Tate fantastic. We'll be back!!
